3D Printing

Hello everyone!

I know I've been absent from doing my regular postings, but I've been extremely busy shooting and developing new courses for Algonquin College and SPAO. I'm hoping to do some posts in the next few weeks (if things slow down a bit).

Here is a little video, although it's it's not directly related to photography, it's still interesting.

Enjoy!

The Presidents Photographer

I came across this video about the President of the United States Photographer. Even if you're not a photographer, you'll enjoy the stories and the historical images that are revealed in this video.

Enjoy!

March

Here we are at the end of March. What a month! I thought February was good and that it couldn't get any better. Well, March came around and it was equally as good if not better.

There were 6 great shoots this month (3 of them have already been talked about in the previous posting).

The most recent models for this project were Mimi, Sitia, and Karen. All of these ladies did a fantstic job and amazed me with their abilites.

Thank you to Mimi, Sitia, and Karen for a job well done. Thanks again to all the models that have participated in this great project so far.

Here are a few samples from the shoots.

March - So Far...

I thought February was busy and went by fast. Well, March isn't slowing down either.

As I sit here updating the blog, I realize that today is the 21st of March. Where has this month gone? I feel like just yesterday I was doing my first shoot of the month, yet when I go back to edit images for the blog, I noticed that I've had 6 amazing shoots. I've managed to process 3 of the 6 shoots for the CBCF project and here is a sampling from the shoots.

Another big thank you to all the models that I've shot this month. The images below are from the shoots with Jennifer, Jenna, and Marie.

Hope you all enjoy the samples.

February - Wow & Thanks!

Hello everyone!

Sorry again for the long delay in between postings.

December and January was a very difficult and trying time for me, and as a result there was very little shooting during these 2 months, and therefore nothing to post.

Now February was a completely different story! It actually all started at the end of January with a shoot with a wonderful model, Jessica. After Jessica, February snowballed into a busy month with multiple shoots for the CBCF project. Angie, Elizabeth, Katie, and Tammy all had great shoots and executed some fantastic poses.

During the entire time of this project, I have not had such a positive response from would be participants like I did in February. I wish I could share more images with you from all the fantastic shoots.

So, I would like to give a very special thank you to these wonderful ladies for participating in this project, executing near flawless poses, and helping me find more participants.

Thank you Jessica, Angie, Elizabeth, Katie, and Tammy!

Here are some images from the shoots, enjoy!

PS. March is looking to be as busy or busier than February, so check back in early April for an update!

Surfing commercial shot with 52 cameras

I think by now we've all seen the stop motion video created by shooting multiple still cameras at the same time. Some of you might know it as "Bullet Time" from the movie The Matrix.

In these 2 videos you'll see the behind the scene footage of shooting the commercial for Mirage and the actual commercial.

Canon Pixma Printer Ad with Behind the Scene/Making of...

I saw this ad and the behind the scenes footage and thought I would share this with all of you. I love the creativeness of the individuals that came up with photographing somethings so simple, yet makes it look so interesting.

Enjoy!

Once in a lifetime moment...

Imagine experiencing a once in a lifetime moment.  Now, imagine capturing this with your camera and being able to share it with the rest of the world.

I was very fortunate this past summer to travel to South Africa for a month, and witness some things that I had only ever hoped I would see.  I'm still going through my images from South Africa and will post some soon, I just need to catch up with all my client request and find some spare time in between teaching classes to photography and photoshop enthusiast.

The following video is not something that I've shot, but something that I could relate to, and figured there would be some of you out there that could relate to it as well.

"Bob Poole is a DP (Director of Photography for you still shooters) who often works for National Geographic. While filming researcher Jake Wall who is studying the migration of African elephants, Bob and his team came across one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen capture on video. You gotta watch this video to believe it but Bob was trapped in a sand storm in Mail for 4 hours while the sun was all but completely blocked by the flying debris. It always amazes me when I see photographers or videographers capture nature at it’s best."  fstoppers
